Points on the board for Kam at home round...

Kam scores his first points of the season at Snetterton.

Kam returned to action at Snetterton for Round 4 of the 2025 Pirelli National Superstock Championship. Located in Norfolk, the Snetterton 300 circuit is the longest layout used in the series at 2.969 miles (4.780 km), combining sweeping high-speed sections with tight and technical corners, a demanding blend that tests both rider and machine. This event is especially significant for Kam, as it's not only his home race but also the home round for his title sponsor, Tinkler’s Motorcycles.

Kam got his weekend underway with a solid opening session, completing 9 laps and setting a best time of 1:52.020 to finish P12.

The temperatures soared throughout the day, making it one of the hottest Fridays of the season so far. With air temperatures peaking around 25°C and track temperatures pushing closer to 35°C, conditions proved challenging for both riders and machinery.

In the second session of the day, Kam continued to push for consistency, completing another solid run. He ended FP2 in P15 with a best lap of 1:52.123.

Reflecting on the day, Kam said:

“P15 on the combined times today. It’s not where I want to be, but we’re working hard to improve. Tomorrow’s a new day, so hopefully we can make a step forward with the bike and find a bit more pace.”

Kam qualified P10 at Snetterton with a fastest time of 1:51.279, just 0.003 seconds off a spot on the third row. The session was brought to a premature end by a red flag with four minutes remaining, and it was not restarted.

It was another scorching day at the Norfolk circuit, with an air temperature of 28.5°C and track temperature reaching 35.3°C.

After qualifying, Kam said:

“I’m really happy with that! We made a big step today, and I’m pleased with the improvement. A big thanks to the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing team for all the work last night and this morning to get the bike into a better place and help me move up the grid. There’s still a bit to do to get more comfortable over race distance, but overall it’s been a really positive day, especially given how demanding the straights are here at Snetterton.”

Sunday began with the warm-up session at 9:47 am. Kam completed 4 laps and posted a best time of 1:51.487. As always, warm-up is less about chasing lap times and more about blowing off any overnight cobwebs and getting reacquainted with the track before the main event.

Kam started the race from P10, heading the fourth row of the grid. As the pack set off on the warm-up lap, there was immediate drama when a bike on the third row developed a problem, leading to another competitor riding straight into the back of it. The incident triggered a red flag, with all riders returning to the pits while marshals cleared the aftermath.

Once the race resumed, now shortened to ten laps, the field got away cleanly. Kam was in the thick of the action throughout, battling for tenth place throughout the race. In the end, he crossed the line in P12, securing his first points of the 2025 season at his home round.

After the race, Kam said:

“We’ve had a much better weekend at Snetterton and made some real progress with the bike, which is great to see. I struggled a bit on Friday, but a big setup change ahead of Saturday made the bike feel how it should have done all along, and straight away I was back inside the top 10.

The race was tough. I was strong in the infield sections, but it was difficult to hold off some of the other riders on the straights. I dug deep in the fight for P10 and came away with 12th. While I wanted more, I’m really pleased with the improvement and to come away with a promising result at what’s a challenging track for us.

Huge thanks to the team for their flawless work once again, and to the local crowd who came out to support me, your backing means a lot.”
